About Slash Shield™

Built to Protect. Engineered to Last.

Slash Shield™ is a utility-patented stainless steel safety device designed to protect water lines, gas lines, and electrical conduit from the everyday hazards that cause house fires, flooding, and costly structural damage — screws, nails, rodents, and weed trimmers.

Recognized by Fire Marshals

Slash Shield™ has been formally recognized by two Orlando Fire Marshals as a fire-prevention device. That recognition reflects what the product does in the real world: it stops accidental penetrations before they become emergencies.

NFPA Compliant

Slash Shield™ provides mechanical protection consistent with the requirements of three National Fire Protection Association standards:

  • NFPA 1 — Fire Code
  • NFPA 70 — National Electrical Code
  • NFPA 54 — National Fuel Gas Code

These are the standards that govern how electrical wiring, gas lines, and water piping must be safeguarded in residential and commercial construction across the United States.

Utility Patented Design

The Slash Shield™ design is utility patented, a stainless steel flat spring that wraps 360 degrees around bathroom valve pipes and similar exposed runs. It is drill-proof and maintains a firm, noninvasive hold with seven pounds of Constant Force, requiring no tools and no fasteners to install or remove.

Where It Works

Slash Shield™ is used across a wide range of applications where pipes and conduit run close to finished surfaces:

  • Residential plumbing (bathroom valve pipes, supply lines)
  • Electrical conduit in framed walls and crawl spaces
  • Gas line protection in kitchens and mechanical rooms
  • Marine and irrigation installations
  • Fire and flood prevention in new construction and renovation

Simple by Design

Slash Shield™ installs by hand in seconds, is fully reusable, and leaves no marks. It is chrome-like in appearance, making it appropriate for both rough-in and finished environments. There are no adhesives, no brackets, and no special tools required.

Our Mission

Slash Shield™ was created with a straightforward goal: to give homeowners, contractors, and builders a reliable, code-consistent way to protect the lines that keep a building safe. Every unit is stainless steel, built to last, and priced to make protection practical at any scale — from a single bathroom to a full job site.
